Myanmar is the last frontier in Southeast Asia for biodiversity conservation with rich endowment of natural capital. As Myanmar slowly eases toward greater democracy, there are clear opportunities for the country’s people, its economy, and its unique and invaluable endowment of natural capital.  As a part of World Wide Fund for Nature – Greater Mekong, WWF-Myanmar was established in 2014 with the aim to support Myanmar’s development ambitions with a focus on spatial planning and biodiversity conservation in parallel with ecosystem services protection and sustainable livelihoods, to achieve a green economy.
