What is HPAIR Asia Conference ?

The Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) creates a forum of exchange and facilitates discussion of the most important economic, political, and social issues relevant to the Asia-Pacific region. Since 1991, the annual HPAIR conferences have brought together students from the world’s foremost universities and leaders in the fields of government, business, culture, and academia. This year’s HPAIR Asia Conference will be hosted in Manila, Philippines, from August 20-24, 2015.
This year’s Asia Conference theme, Confronting Asia’s Development Challenges through Innovation, serves as a call to action to the 500 students and young professionals who will attend the conference and who will return home to make a profound difference in their own communities. Most importantly, friendships and relationships that defy geopolitical boundaries will be created. These kinds of human connections remind us our differences are smaller than we often believe, and that by working together, we can develop diverse ideas into innovative strategies for a shared future.
This 5-day conference includes Skills Workshops, 7 Panels: Entrepreneurship, Corporate Leadership, Security and Diplomacy, Human Rights, Health and Social Policy, Energy and Sustainability, Finance and the World Economy, Case Study Competition, Dinners, Field Trips and so much more.
This year, With the aim for Myanmar students to expand their network and to know more about Asia and ASEAN, Professors from University of Hong Kong, ASEAN Entrepreneur Foundation and some NGOs are willing to grant Myanmar youths to attend this year HPAIR Asia Conference 2015. Depending on applicants’ CV forms, the President of ASEAN Entrepreneur Foundation will decide how many people will be granted and how much cost will be covered.
